A special binding of Arthur Johnson's "Bookbinding" / designed and bound by Faith Shannon. [1985]

Contains a photocopy of an announcement in the Antiquarian Book Monthly Review, vol. XI, no. 3, issue 119 (March 1984) of an exhibition of bindings at the Brighton Polytechnic, organized by Faith Shannon, followed by three letters (the first typescript, the others manuscript) from Faith Shannon to Francis Guelker, from 7 June to 10 December 1984. The letters concern an inquiry Guelker made about Shannon's binding of Arthur Johnson's Practical Guide to Craft Bookbinding. The third letter is accompanied by 6 black and white photographs (full page size) and two color slides showing the finished binding. In addition, prints of the two color slides are mounted on the page preceding the slides.
